Jet2 announces operational statement to extend shutdown until June

Jet2 has today issued a statement saying that the airline aims to restart their flight and holiday operations on the 17th June. This comes after the airline suspended all flying operations until the 1st of May. In this announcement the company have said “We are keeping this decision under constant review, in line with guidance from Governments and the relevant authorities”.

They have said that customers that we due to travel before this date do not need to contact them and that they will be proactivley contacting in departure date order.

Customers are expected to be given refunds within 14 days without needing to contact the airline if their flight is before this date.

They closed the statement with

“We recognise that these unprecedented events have had a huge impact on our customers, and we would like to thank them for their loyalty, understanding and patience.”

“Although these are difficult times for everyone, the sun will come out again. When it does, our award-winning teams will be there to take customers on holiday – a well-deserved package holiday they can trust – once again.”
